Driver’s license/permit

This is very essential for anyone interested in hiring a car from us. A client is required to present a valid driver’s license. 4×4 Uganda Car Rentals accept any driver’s license from any country but an international driver’s license is more preferred. Your driver’s permit can enable you to drive in the entire East Africa for a period of up to 3 months and the driver’s particulars must be clear on the card. As a company we take the photocopy of your permit and you remain with your original copy.

National Identification/Passport

Another vital requirement needed to rent a car from 4×4 Uganda Car rentals is a valid national ID/ Passport. This discloses your nationality and identity. In that case of anything we have where we can begin from, to track and find you. we take photocopies not your original copies. And when filling the contact, there is a space where you fill the initials of your next of kin include his/her email and telephone number.

Make payment for the car rental services

Before a rental car is handed over to the client, we make sure that it’s well paid for the period of time it’s going to be hired. we normally ask for a confirmation fee or deposit fee of at least $100, however , We can confirm the client’s reservation without any fee on condition of after receiving your flight details and passport/ driving permit copies.  Expect the payment to be done upon arrival at Entebbe international airport/ at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Full payment of the rental expenses must be met. We accept both cash and electronic transfer. If payment is done with electronic transfer, must be made 14 days prior to your travel dates. You have to meet the cost of 3.5% of the total amount of money you are paying if the payment is done online, a link will be provided. Read and sign our 4×4 Uganda Car Rental agreement

Before we seal the deal, the client must read through our car rental terms and condition/agreement and sigh on them. You can check on our website and read through the agreement between the hirer and hire and you can even download it and ask what you have not understood well before coming to avoid taking a lot of time reading them upon delivery of the self-drive car. Our agreement includes the clauses for the type of car hired, the dates it’s being hired and when to return it, how much it’s been charged per day, the driving time and advice, a clause of the insurance policy among others. The client has to pass it through and then at the end sign under as a gesture of acceptance of going by our rules and regulation of renting a car with us.

The cars we offer come with unlimited mileage, working air conditioner, the cars are in good conditions, well serviced, there are all 4X4 cars. Takes about 80 litters of fuel and 1 litter can take you 6-8km, the cars comes with a spare tyre and tools like jack and wheel spanner to help you fix a flat tyre in case of it.

The car comes with comprehensive insurance against accidents, fire, theft, damages, and anything that may happen on it. But please note the insurance only covers the car. So you are advised to come with your travel insurance from your home country.
