Car delivery

4×4 Uganda car rentals delivers its fleets anywhere in East Africa depending on our clients delivery preference. Our delivery cost of the first and last days will depend on where you want the vehicle delivered or picked.

Delivery at Entebbe international airport or around Kampala will not incur any cost, it will be free of charge. But for up countries or outside Kampala and across borders, a small fee for delivery will be asked. The cars the company is offering is in good condition and on am unlimited mileage, with 24/7 working air conditioner, well serviced. They are a 4×4 unless a few one. Our cars covers about 80 litters of fuel and 1 litter can take you 6-8km. They come with a spare tire and tools like wheel spanner to help you fix a flat tire in case of it.

Crossing the border and Comesa insurance

Border crossing to the following countries is allowed: Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania, But will require a border crossing fee and Comesa insurance. You are always advised to contact us in advance if you will cross boarders. So that we arrange for your paper crossing requirements to one of the above mentioned countries.

How to deal with traffic police in Uganda

Our traffic police in Uganda are always inquisitive and attentive. So, expect a pull over more than twice while on your self-drive road trip; always on their green and white-colored matching out-fits (uniform). They will ask for your driving license; lucky you, Your driving permit gives you permission to drive on Uganda roads for a period of up to 3 months.

They also will check if the car is insured, the condition of the tires, and the required rescue tools. And anything they want to check on the car. However, all what they need to check on the car are taken care of when renting a car from 4×4 Uganda car rentals unless over speeding.

Surprisingly enough, sometimes, you will be pulled over and end up having a friendly chit-chat with an officer. In case a car cannot be fixed within 24 hours, it will call for a replacement car from our office in Kampala so that you can continue with your journey.
