Queen Elizabeth National Park is situated in the western part of Uganda spanning in districts of Kamwenge, Rubirizi, Rukungiri, and Kasese found along the Congolese border to the north of Kasese and the Rwenzori foot hills to the east bounded to the west by the Ishasha River and Lake Edward.

However, guests can also pay a visit to these parks during the rainy season of the year that typically runs in the months of March to May and from September to November. This period is associated with heavy amount of rainfall received, the trail heads are wet and slippery, guests are advised to make use of 4X4 wheel drive vehicles because some roads are in bad states.
