Kabaka’s lake is the largest man-made lake in Uganda covers an area of almost two square kilometers and about 200 feet in depth it is located in Ndeeba Rubaga Division almost five kilometers from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. History says that during the 19th century the king of Buganda named Kabaka Mwanga II ordered for the digging of the lake.
The main purpose of constructing the kabakas lake was as a result of a power struggle between Kabaka Mwanga and the 
Christian subjects, the king wanted the lake to act as an escape corridor many people joined their arms together and finally the lake dug.
Also, Kabaka Mwanga wanted to use the lake for water transport as he could be traveling to Lake Victoria as well as to be used when he was going to the Mulungi hill that is positioned near Lake Victoria.
