This park is located in the north-eastern part of Uganda just a drive of about 5-6 hours from the capital city Kampala passing via Nakasongola and mitooma. On your self-drive to the park, you can decide to blanch to ziwa rhino sanctuary a home to the habituated rhino including the black and white rhinos. You can spend 1-2 hours at the ranch trekking them, taking as many photos and videos with them.  From here you can proceed to the park. Bwindi impenetrable national park

On your self-drive still, you can drive to the most visited Uganda Park commonly known as bwindi impenetrable national park. You drive to the south western part of Uganda which is a drive of about 8-9 hours’ drive from the capital city Uganda. On your drive, you will pass very many exciting attractions right from the time you receive your keys to the park, pass via the equator crossing for informative information and snacks, and pass via Mpambire the drum making area. It’s within your power to decide where you will have your lunch from, this can be either in Mbarara or before depending on your meal time. You will drive via the rolling hills of Kisoro with greenish landscape.

The park  commonly known for its endangered mountain gorillas so gorilla trekking the common activity done at Bwindi national park. Expect to see the gorillas face to face in their national habitat.

On your Uganda self-drive plan to book a gorilla permit in advance at least from 2-3 months prior to your arrival time, gorilla permits are at a very high demand, they are sold on first come first serve basis and a gorilla permit in bwindi cost $usd700 per permit. Gorilla trekking activities begins very early in the morning after reporting at the park headquarters to receive short briefings about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas, after you will set deep into the forest to begin the search of gorillas.

Gorilla trekking is unpredictable, since gorillas are not human, they move freely in their natural habitat, and meeting them depends on where they last spent their nights from. Once they are met,  strictly allowed only one hour with them taking photos and videos with them.
